While I hate buying ink all the time for ink jet printers, I found my Canon iP4600 printer excellent for being suspended. And when the printer produces reliable, quality output, I do not mind buying ink. The ink cartridges for Canon printers seem to last longer than those for my Epsons preventive and HPS. Maybe it's just in my head since the printer is so great.

As usual, you pay more than you get with the ink cartridge from Canon. They have a good performance, but no better than generic ink cartridges, despite warnings that Canon and their ilk cry. Unfortunately, there are no generic cartridges available for my printer (yet). When available, I buy those.
Wrong ink suggested by Amazon – PBcreek – Austin, TX
I bought a Canon PIXMA MX330 from Amazon and then purchased this ink PGI-220 from Amazon. Amazon has "buy together" function and also another act "compatible" ink in every ad that tells if the ink properly. I ended up buying the wrong ink, because of this. Need PG-210xl ink MX330 not this. Canon PG-210xl Cartridge (black) br / The page for the IGP-220 still tells me it is compatible with the printer that I bought from Amazon. Great features if they work, too bad if you do not! Hisbeyond the return date and the item out the window.

I do very little B / W printing and almost no color. I am shocked at how fast the ink is consumed. I'm sure this must be the self-cleaning it is because it is certainly one of the documents to print more or less / week. This printer is a complete rip off when you need to continue to buy the ink the only way to clean itself. I had ink jets, which are not like that.
