I had this toaster a little over two years. The manual comes with it is sadly sparse. Over time, I learned to use the oven for trial and error. br / br / For example, to use the toaster two or more times in succession, the setting must be increased each time. I usually use the setting No. 5 for toasts, which is 4.40 minutes. If I want to toast more soon after, the same approach at No. 5, decreases the time so I have to increase the setting to toast4.40 minutes. If you forget to cover the number and use of the toaster 30 minutes or more after the highest setting returns to its original time and toasting your toast is at best exaggerated, at worst burned. Increase each setting time of about 20 seconds. Moreover, the warming tray is a great idea, but there is no separate control, so if you are cooking in the oven to 350 degrees, temp warming tray is not much less than that. I had food burn when put there. These procedures andothers–increasing/decreasing the oven temperature and time cooking and baking – are not difficult to understand, but it is annoying to have. They are not covered in the manual. br / br / The design of the machine is also problematic. About 6 months ago, the oven door handle fell off. Basically, I have a screw loose. But, there is no way to reattach the handle. br / br / So, now I'm investigating other brands.

Love the size, the imprint perfect for the kitchen counter. However, it can not lift the lid completely unless pull out from under kitchen cupboards. Not a big deal – just an FYI. Convenient and easy to use. Toast a bit 'erratic – no matter if you toast rack on site, or whether one or toast 4 slices of bread. Over time (bought this 22 months ago) toast the setting had to be increased from 3 hours to 7 – and then anticipate the need to replace in the near future. Basically – nice looking,toast properly, oven works well but appears to be on its way out in less than 2 years. This is the second Avante (was basic toaster) that do not toast evenly and burns too fast. Will move to a different brand in the future.
