I used this vacuum to open jars. The plastic could not withstand br / metal, and have continued to find small slivers of plastic in my food before I realized that wasbr / getting scratched open.

Some years ago I fell and broke both wrists. I never recovered my strength and trying to get my hand open vessels is almost impossible. I bought all the gadgets – rubber clamps, claw grabber giant things, etc. But this is the first thing I bought that works easily every single time. Works like a old-fashioned can-opener. Connects the lip just below the lid, pull-ups and breaks the vacuum seal on the jar and then the lid twists off easily. Recommended especially for peopleweak grip. It 'made of plastic, but it seems pretty robust – I have not had any problems with mine and I have not had that about six months and use often.
